Karazhanbasmunai Joint Stock Company produces oil at the unique Karazhanbas field located on the Buzachi peninsula 230 km from the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan. For the first time, black gold was received on January 24, 1974. Fountain of oil scored from an all-time shallow depth - 300 meters.
Today Karazhanbasmunai JSC is one of the strategically important companies in the country. The enterprise received its first million tons of oil in 1984. In 2018, the Karazhanbasmunai oilmen gave the country a 50-millionth ton of oil.
